The Pittsburg & Shawmut had several logos over the years.

This hexagon logo with the arrow was probably the widest used on P&S hoppers, note the arrow is white with black SHAWMUT. This logo was used on 100 ton hoppers, but note the variation logo below!

This hexagon logo was used on 100 ton hoppers, note how the arrow is black with white SHAWMUT, a variation on the previous one. Obviously the white SHAWMUT shows up better on the hopper’s black background.

Of course this colorful version of the hexagon logo was used on the nine SW9 locomotives and some of the earlier cabooses. Sort of ironically, when the SW9’s were repainted red, white, and blue in the Bicentennial era, none of the switchers had the bar-diamond Shawmut Line logo.

With the coming of the Bicentennial era and when the P&S started using 100 ton hoppers they also adopted a logo like the Pittsburg, Shawmut,& Northern except in red and white.

The P.S. & N. logo was like this.

This Genessee & Wyoming logo was the P&S’s last logo before being absorbed into the Buffalo & Pittsburg.
NOTE – There are two more logos I’ve not been able to find legible enough copies of to include. The earliest one was a simple white hexagon with just P&S centered which was eventually replaced by the first one above. The other was a 100 year’s of SHAWMUT that was added to some hoppers.
